What is Project Higher Learning? What is GEAR UP?
GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) is a Federal Department of Education grant. Our grant, called Project Higher Learning, follows the Class of 2011 -- currently in the 10th grade -- as they progress through high school. Our goal is to increase the number of students who are prepared for and attend post-secondary educational institutions.
