Principal's Message
Benjamin Franklin High School is a vibrant community of learners where faculty, administrative, and support staff work together to provide a rigorous and nurturing academic environment for all students.
Our deeply held belief that we continue to learn through life, drive our efforts to provide learning opportunities for students and adults alike.  Franklin High School is an important and integral institution of the Northeast area of Los Angeles.   We serve an average of 3000 students annually making us one of the most important institutions of the communities we serve.  As such, we strive to positively affect the community through a strong educational program.
Our goal is to become a hub of activity, learning, communication, and information for our students and their families.  We work in partnerships with other institutions in our communities to provide a comprehensive and nurturing approach to education.  We strive to help students become life long learners and effective and competitive participants in a global economy.  Our efforts and work is beginning to pay off dividends that benefit all of our community members.
Franklin High School has consistently met its state target in the Academic Performance Index (API) for the last five years.  This year, we received a six year term of accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).  These accomplishments are validation to the work that our teachers, students, and their families perform daily to guarantee that all of our students receive meaningful learning opportunities.  I celebrate with our staff these and many other accomplishments and feel honored to work with so many distinguished educators.  Our work continues and we look forward to meeting the challenge.
